Doodle Grooming in Winnipeg
Doodle coats are gorgeous and high-maintenance, and nobody told you that at the breeder. The curl that makes them cute also hides mats close to the skin, where brushing the top layer never reaches.
We groom a lot of doodles. Here's our honest approach: if the coat is brushed out, we can keep the length you love. If it's matted to the skin, the kind thing is to go short and start fresh, because dematting a pelted coat hurts. We'll tell you which situation you're in before we start, not after.
Doodle upkeep that actually works
- Professional groom every 4 to 8 weeks depending on length
- Line brushing at home, down to the skin, a few times a week
- A comb check after brushing: if the comb snags, the mat is still there
- Tell us the length you want and how much brushing you'll really do. We'll find the haircut that fits both.
