Sizing and salt: what actually matters here

  • Short-coated and small dogs — huskies and shepherds are fine, but boxers, pitties, dobermans, whippets and small breeds genuinely need a coat below about minus 10.
  • Paws before coats — road salt burns pads and cracks them. Boots or paw wax often matter more than a jacket.
  • Fit beats brand — bring your dog in and we will fit them properly. A jacket that rides back and rubs the armpits will not get worn twice.
