Frozen, dehydrated or freeze-dried raw?

  • Frozen raw: plan for freezer space, package size and the thawing instructions on the label. Our frozen options include Big Country Raw, Perfectly Raw and Carnivora.
  • Dehydrated raw: SMACK is made in Winnipeg and offers a shelf-stable format for dogs and cats. Pick the formula for your pet and follow its feeding and storage directions.
  • Freeze-dried options: we also carry Stella & Chewy’s freeze-dried raw and meal mixers.

What to check before choosing a food

  • The label: check the intended species, life stage, ingredients and feeding directions. Products in a raw-food collection do not all serve the same purpose.
  • Your storage routine: think about freezer room, travel and how you will handle opened packages. Use each product’s storage instructions rather than treating every raw format the same way.
  • Package sizes and availability: compare the options on the product pages, or ask us what is available for pickup.
  • Your pet’s needs: bring the food name, your pet’s weight and any concerns you want to discuss. For medical conditions or diet-related symptoms, speak with your veterinarian.

Canadian-made brands we carry
